In 2008 Australian Cricket Captain Ricky Ponting and his wife Rianna formed the Ponting Foundation to make a real difference in the fight against children’s cancer.

The Foundation’s major beneficiary, Redkite, represents the essence of the Foundation’s mission – to do everything possible to improve the lives of children with cancer.

The Foundation provides funding for a wide range of essential services that comfort and nurture the child while providing emotional support and financial assistance for their family.

Run Ricky Run is one of the Foundation’s major fundraising initiatives. Run Ricky Run provides Ricky with more reasons than ever before to score runs as the amount of donations pledged depends on how many runs he scores and the funds to be distributed are also linked to Ricky’s run tally.

There’s a fair bit riding on Ricky scoring runs but he wouldn’t have it any other way!
